Summary

The premise wasn’t my favorite tbh & I think there could have been a better way to get the gang back together for a questHOWEVER I did have a lot of fun while reading！ The original trio， the fun chapter titles， Percy first person POV！！！ It all brought me back to reading TLT for the first time :’）So to summarize in RR’s own words: “It was a nostalgia trap。 The place is selling people their childhoods。” but that’s what I signed up for so I’m cool with it

Nostalgia-led， but campy， short， and sweet。 Clearly a fun little side story for fans of the original series where hijinks ensue。 Its nice to take a peek into Percy’s life post “Heroes of Olympus” & see him not just as an all-star world-saving hero， but as he really is: an 18 year old kid。

Cuteeee I probably would have foamed at the mouth for this as a kid， and I absolutely loved going back to this world- which I still love dearly， but I did feel like a whole ass adult reading it。Anyways- loved that Paul and Sally still are the best， and definitely still love Annabeth and Percy and Grover 🫶🏻🫶🏻

I have to admit this is my least favorite Percy Jackson book。 It was so tame， low stakes， and kinda boring （for lack of a better word） compared to any other story he’s been in， so I kept thinking “whats the point of this。” However， it made me genuinely laugh out loud multiple times and was still an overall good time， so it gets 5 stars。

It’s funny。 After reading so many of these Olympus books starting another one feels normal and right。 It wasn’t until I’d bought a copy that I thought to be suspicious。 Sometimes later additions only hurt a good series you know？ But I really enjoyed this one。 It’s so fun and sweet to see these characters grow up with us and， for me， the book brought up some nostalgic joy。 I would recommend this one to new fans or old ones and am excited to see what’s next。
